Mick Kling

Practice Management and Transition Advisor for Vision Source.

I consider myself to be a deeply caring industry consultant, speaker, and business coach. My consultancy is called Impact Leadership through which I provide leadership, culture and business consulting for the eye care community. I was founder of Invision Optometry, one of the largest, single location optometric practices in San Diego, California, voted “America’s Finest Optical Retailer” in 2017. I also serve as the Practice Management and Transition Advisor for Vision Source.

I gained significant business experience having purchased multiple practices over the last 30 years. I’m proud of my reputation for providing conscientious and impactful advice, an engaging speaking style, and creating innovative solutions for the most critical challenges facing practice owners today.

One of my key areas of expertise is eye care business finances, which I have lectured on extensively. While I don’t have a finance degree, I do feel I have a knack for understanding the finances of optometry practices and communicating ways to improve to other doctors. I look forward to continuing to share my experiences with others by providing much needed business acumen to fellow optometric business owners.

I am originally from Indiana, raised in Arkansas, and have resided in San Diego for over 30 years. When not working, I spend time with his wife Jennifer, and two sons, Robert and Ryan. I also fulfill my passion of playing guitar in my rock band, Backstage Pass, which can frequently be seen gigging in and around the San Diego area.

Things I support and maybe you will too
